An online three-workshop programme:

Wednesday 24th April, Wednesday 1st May and Wednesday 8th May, from 10am – 12.30pm

Are you frustrated with traditional evaluation methods?

Do you feel your evaluation tools don’t reflect the creative nature of your work?

Are you finding it hard to engage participants in evaluation?

Do you get poor response rates from questionnaires?

Building on the Creative and Credible approach to evaluation, this course provides participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to evaluate creatively as well as credibly.

Over the course of three interactive workshops, we will look at ways in which we can better harness creativity to generate appropriate, relevant, meaningful evaluations.

You will discover how to evaluate in ways that:

  • are enjoyable and rewarding for participants,

  • generate improved response rates, and

  • deliver richer and more meaningful data.

Working collaboratively, we will co-produce creative solutions to real-world scenarios. Sharing ideas and practice, we will explore ways in which creativity can reinvigorate existing evaluation methods including questionnaires, focus groups, feedback and monitoring.

FAQs

  • These workshops will take place on Zoom. A link to take part will be sent to you in advance of each workshop starting.

  • You will need access to a computer or laptop with an internet connection, camera and microphone. Headphones can be helpful to ensure clarity and privacy, but are not essential. A wired ethernet connection will work better than Wi-Fi.

  • Ideally, you will attend all three workshops. However, if you have to miss a workshop for any reason, I will ask the group if they are happy to have the session recorded so that I can share this with you afterwards.

  • The core programme consists of three 2.5 hour workshops. It is entirely up to you how much extra time you set aside outside of these workshops. There is no compulsory reading or homework. However, you may wish to read around the subject or take half an hour to reflect and embed your learning each week. Or, if you are involved in planning and delivering an evaluation, you may want to set aside time to put your learning into practice.

  • I am likely to run the programme again in 2024, if there is demand. Please email me if you would like to be notified of future dates.

  • If, for any reason, you are unable to attend the full programme, and I am able to sell your place to someone else, I will offer you a full refund up to 10 working days before the start date of the programme.

Alternatively, if it is 5 days before the start of the programme, I will offer you a credit note so that you can move your place to a future programme.

If I cancel the programme for any reason, I will refund any fees you have paid in their entirety.

  • By booking, you agree that we may collect and store personal information about you and your interactions with us for the purposes of running this programme. This includes: your personal contact details; gender; details of your booking and booking history, including any access needs you have told us about; records of payments (not including credit/debit cards numbers, etc.); any correspondence and any other information we need to keep in order to administer your booking. All personal information is kept securely. We will use this information to communicate with you about your booking and we may, unless you tell us otherwise, communicate with you occasionally about our work and other courses and support that we offer. We never share or sell information about our course participants with any third party, either in aggregate or in individual form.
