Leadership

Helping leaders navigate complexity with clarity, integrity and care.

People working across arts, culture, creative health and academia are leading through increasing complexity, pressure and uncertainty.

When you’re stretched and under-resourced, it becomes harder to think clearly. You might find it more difficult to exercise judgement, work creatively or lead with care. Over time, this can take its toll, affecting both your wellbeing and sense of purpose.

I believe that to truly support people, leadership development needs to offer more than tools and techniques. It should give them space to reflect, strengthen their judgement and consider how they want to lead.

Leading With Clarity

A professional development journey through learning, reflection, coaching and community.

I’m currently developing Leading with Clarity, a new leadership programme for people working across arts, culture, creative health and academia.

Whether you head up a team, programme or organisation, this is for you. Over six months, you’ll have space to step back from the day-to-day, and reflect on and develop your leadership skills alongside others.

Through learning, facilitated reflection, coaching and peer community, you’ll build your capacity to navigate complexity with greater clarity, confidence and discernment.

Help shape the programme

I want to build Leading with Clarity around leaders’ most pressing needs right now.

So, I’m talking with people across the sector about the leadership challenges they’re facing , and the kind of development and support that would genuinely help.

If you’d be willing to share your perspective, I’d love to have a conversation.

Thoughtful Leadership for Complex Times

Leadership is not only about what we do, but who we are: how we pay attention, exercise judgement, relate to others and respond when there are no easy answers.

Reflection can help leaders notice what is happening, consider different perspectives and act with greater self-awareness, integrity and care.

But our choices are also shaped - and sometimes constrained - by the cultures, systems and resources around us. Effective leadership requires us to recognise those constraints, understand where we do have influence, and consciously choose how to respond.

My approach supports leaders to develop their reflective capacity, while also recognising the organisational and systemic conditions that shape how people are able to lead and work.

Jane continues to be a sector leader and is involved in strategic conversations and developments at a national level. She has developed a wide-ranging knowledge of the cultural context of healthcare and the professionals within it.

Why Work With Me?

For more than 30 years, I’ve worked across arts, culture, health and academia as a leader, consultant, facilitator, coach and mentor.

I’ve led organisations and programmes, supported people and teams through change, and contributed to national developments in creative health.

I know both the rewards and the pressures of working in purpose-led sectors.

Now I want to use that experience to help create healthier, more sustainable and inclusive ways of working. Places where people can do meaningful work, contribute fully and lead with energy and courage, without burning out.
